Job Type: full-time; shift work
Work Location: Auburn, Indiana
Position Summary
- Read and understand blueprints and job orders to determine material requirements, tooling instructions and operational sequences
- Select cutting tools, set up and operate mill and lathe machinery according to written specifications
- Adjust controls and change settings to keep within specified tolerance
- Use and understand precision measuring tools
- Inspect and verify specifications of machined products
- Monitor machine performance, making adjustments as needed
- Physically move, position, secure and package heavy product
- Meet productivity goals
- Maintain appropriate communication channels
- Maintain clean and efficient work area
- Follow prescribed safety procedures
- Maintain paperwork for documenting results and tracking machine use.
Requirements
- Experience in machining or manufacturing
- Knowledge of industrial machinery and operations
- Understand CNC operations
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints
- Basic computer skills
- Ability to read and understand precision measuring tools
- Familiar with machine shop environment and safety
